Dark Poetry

A poetically nocturnal palettes with deep black, slate gray, inky blue and deep purple completed by flaming garnet, blushing pink and hallucinogenic green.
Flashes of copper and gold.

Sumptuous materials are deteriorated to evoke the wear of time. Accent on natural mixing “patched” effect. Some ultra feminine materials: dobby silks, quivering acetate etc.

New parade jackets, Rock spirit, Patchwork grunge.

Nocturnal, muffled colors from night blue, cold brown and Cyprus green all
the way to grayed parma and intenser touch of oxblood. Base color remain in the somber register of deep blue, almost black

Trip to chatsworth Hall

Such a lovely setting, and great decorations. I went just before xmas as every xmas they put up lovely decorations around the hall and its so beautiful, plus i find t all enchanting and magical anyway as yes i am one of those romantics. I love seeing the art sculptures that are around he grounds. I just wish i lived there xxx wish i was Elizabeth ha ha xx

'Goosey loosey'

Loving the barnyard inspired jewellery collection created by Emma Franklin.
I particularly love the goose. As well as the goose there is the swine and the horse.
Vogue stated "Its quirky enough to be timeless".... Favourite quote of the day!

Antarctica Village

Antarctica Village - No Borders, Dome Dwelling by Lucy + Jorge Orta, 2007

We can't see the destruction we are causing to the environment, so we have to begin t visualise it.
A new exhiiiton at the london academy explored the way we imagine climate change in a different way.

"Lucy and Jorge Orta are two such artists. They travelled to Antarctica in 2007 aboard a Hercules KC130 to create Antarctic Village - No Borders. It’s "a symbol of the plight of those struggling to transverse borders and to gain the freedom of movement necessary to escape political and social conflict," explained their artists' statement. "Dotted along the ice, the domes formed a settlement reminiscent of the images of refugee camps we see so often reported about on our television screens and newspapers. Together the flags and fragments of identities are emblazoned with silkscreen motifs referencing the UN Declaration for Human Rights freedom of movement, represent a physical embodiment of a new 'Global Village'."

Vienna Vienna...

I read a most fantastic article on the fashion director of t magazines trip to vienna. It sounds like the must see place for 2010 with hidden art exhibitons, vintage shops and classical music.....

"There are art galleries, one of the best of which is Georg Kargl Fine Arts, which shows interesting, established international artists. We found a great vintage shop (always a favorite destination for me) called Flo Vintage Nostalgische Mode, where they had old Dior mixed in with turn-of-the-century lace at decent prices, and an amazing video store (yes, they still exist in some places!) called Alphaville where one totally trusts the choices of the employees. Next to that was a great design store called Rauminhalt. We had lunch at an old establishment around the corner favored by the locals called Gasthaust Ubl."

Nine!!!! my favourite film of the century!!!

Oh my i have just come back from the movies and i am soo inspired, so energised so excited for observing new cultures particularly ITALIA... Nine was the most rich and vibrant film. The drama, the costumes the scenery EVERYTHING was like a new world. I am going to see it again at the weekend as i could sit for hours on end watching and learning way of 60's itaila in the imagination of guido ( daniel day lewis)). Marion cotillard particularly stood out amongst the row of starlets. She had a timeless elegance in her dialogues and songs that was just inspirational. Truly the best film to begin 2010.......
